Despite his training and ethics, he finds himself making a huge difference in people’s lives, including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” share their most memorable moments as their characters in Season 1 and reveal who impressed Harrison Ford the most. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and intended to cast people who looked like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they should at least introduce him to Ford, thinking he would immediately turn him down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project to him, sparking interest from other big-name actors. Two episodes out now, this show is promising, the chemistry between the characters is infectious and sometimes even weird… it’s heartwarming in a way that most shows don’t, reminiscent of the show “Community” in these elements. I’m not sure if this is exactly how a therapist deals with his problems, but it certainly gives Jason Segel some space to think.
Rod, Jason’s boss and mentor of sorts
I wasn’t sure how his character would work in this series, but the antisocial Rod likeness certainly plays a personality that Ford fits in quite well considering the fearsome elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars – it just fits this show. Somehow too similar, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays a sort of son figure to Jimmy (Segel) while he deals with his family issues with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)… What I see here seems so vivid and the possibilities are maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigating these things.
And the music in this show is so good
Btw, the intro theme for this show is so good, I didn’t even miss it while watching episode 2… Overall, this is an amazing show and I hope it only gets better from here.
